Capturing in 15 fps, exporting in cinepak, and using Xing mpeg encoder.

2 years later... I decide to remake the video in 29.97 fps, exporting in huffy, and using tmpeg.

The scenes were harder to match up because of the more fluid motion.

But I easily solved that problem on my second AMV by using the rubberbands for fades (which look cooler anyway).

Extend the video track, you'll see a red line on the clip. Those are opacity rubberbands. Use them to adjust the visibility of the clip.

You keep referring to this mysterious "Asuka's Last Stand", but I haven't seen it for m'self. It can't be that bad, right?

...Right?

At least is wasn't a System of a Bebop vid...

I made some really bad videos. The only video I like of mine is my last one. I first started out using a capture card and not using Premiere. Then I moved to dvds, but I was encoding them terribly! So that was pointless.

Now I'm following the guides word for word. I was so stupid.

Here's a newbie

Postby Argentumfeles » Sat Feb 08, 2003 5:15 am

Hello folks,

I just dropped in to the forum for the first time. As a newbie this topic was the first I opened.

Now, I made an AMV of Vampire Hunter Ds Bloodlust with the music of Nevermore - Dreaming Neon Black. If you want to look at it - search for Argentumfeles or http://www.argentumfeles.com/VampireD[argfeles].avi.

I'm nowhere near a newbie when it comes to encoding video, but AMV's is another thing. I have no clue as to what people think when they see my video. Please, go view it and rate it or something.

I still don't have any fancy software with special effects and what else is available these days, but for one I usually don't like vids with overdone special effects.

I know one piece of video in my AMV is off-timing. Nevermore's lead singer gives a big howling YEAAA at some point in the video, look for it. But as far as I'm concerned, overall I think I did pretty good;)

Reactions PLZ??!!

This sounds almost like what I used to do 4-5 years ago.

I think I exported my first vid as 15fps, 240x180 and using indeo 3.something if I was not mistaken (I don't have the original encode anymore, of course). Even worse, I think my sources were only like 10fps. Heh.
