Other version? Lemme explain somethin to you. I didn't pull my name from a Bus Stop album. Bus Stop wasn't the band who basically turned me on to music in general. Bus stop isn't responsible for me me even being here in the AMV scene right now. The Specials however, CAN lay claim to all of those things.
Hell boy, you jus pissed on one oy my DREAMS of pullin off in this comunity. Thanks a f*ckin lot, you're a REAL pal.
Screw it, I'm not gonna keep this goin here because I don' wanna get banned from the forums. But DO NOT think this is over. Not by a long shot.

Shaddap eRmAc. At least I don' sound like the lead role in Revenge Of The Nerds. In fact, from this day forward, you will be known simply as Louis.

I don't want any rumors spreading about DDR3 (4th Mix) track selection yet, because as of now there IS nothing official. Quu and I have been working something out, but the final OK has to come down from Brad.

The one thing I can say is this: a lot of people were upset about how tracks were assigned for DDR2. Quu and I have been working on a system that is fair to both past editors and new people who want to get involved. But again, we haven't talked about it with Brad yet. As a show of good faith, I'm giving up my early track pick. I'll basically take one of the leftovers.

But ErMaC is right. We don't just open up the track selection to the public because people flake out left and right. I've had to reassign editors to 5 tracks in the past month and a half. Just a couple days ago someone else dropped out. It's hard enough managing 30 editors. DDR3 has some FIFTY tracks! I am going to go insane next year.
I have no idea how to use this new forum.

Damn, I don' know why, but being consider 'open public' by other AMV creators REALLY irks me. (Okay, everything irks me these days, but you know what I mean.) I mean, are you guys some kinda secret society, an those of us who aren't in the 'in crowd' aren't the REAL AMV creators in your eyes? I think if someone wants in, they should be given a shot. It SHOULD be based on ability, dammit. Oh well, not like anyone listens to me anyway.

Well, if it really bothers you, TR, than just go out, find the most popular songs in the DRR 4th Mix and make your own videos to them (and make sure they're damn good) and submit to AWA. I mean, it's not like they own the copyright to DDR, so what's stopping you? If you don't like the whole closed society thing, what better way to express your disapproval than to one-up them at the same contest?

I guess they can give out the same track to four or five editors so they have more chance that the track will actually be done. But try to be irrealistic for a moment: if everyone of them finishes the track, then what happens? Who gets discarded? Who decides?

You can't simply try to "give people a chance" because:

1) You will be flooded by requests

2) 80% of them will never finish their track

This doesn't mean that you, or I, or anyone else can't do that. It's simply a coordination problem... and you work better with people you know and trust.

Just my .02$ in...
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.
