He owes a huge debt to the Russian mob.Or maybe the yakuza.I think the yakuza.Anyhow,he is hiding out and laying low.He has to do that or be forced into prostitution(and not the good,gigolo kind either) if he can't cough up the money.

Obvious, I know, but whatever. I just edited this as quickly as possible, so it's not that good or extensive. Just the first handful of AMV creators I could get photos of, though I tried to keep to well known.
