Simplified FTP program for uploading videos to the org...

I wrote a little FTP program a few years back for my own personal use for uploading to the org. It was just a lot easier then loading filezilla and going through that interface for something so simple. I decided now might be a good time to share it with everyone else since I've see a lot of discussion lately about the upload process. I think this might be a good solution for those who aren't familiar with FTP and just want something simple and easy to use.

Cheesy name, i know... it's subject to change in the future. Please give me feedback on the interface or any features you would like to see added or changed. I've been using it for every video I've uploaded in the past 3 years so it's fine for what I need but I would like others to find it useful as well.

I admit I haven't used it yet to upload so I'll just ask: if I paste the ftp link in the server, does it automatically fill in username and password? Also, could it be possible to add the port input box? I could get use of this for some other servers where the port is different than the standard 21.

Ohh thats a good idea! I will add that to the list of thigns to add... if I have time I will implement that later today. The port number is also on the todo list.

I like this. It's simple and easy. I might actually think about recommending this for users who don't know much about FTP or care to really learn to submit videos to my contests. (Obviously telling the users to change the host of course)

Hopping in to say that I updated the link of the first post and that I did use the program to upload my latest vid, and it was perfect.

I have a request for a new feature if possible, though: once the upload is completed, would it be possible to be automatically open the confirmation page in the browser?

Yea, thats one of the features I've wanted to implement for a long time. I'll be adding that to the next update.

I was trying to upload my other video a few days ago and when i pressed the upload button the software crashed and had to go download FileZilla etc..

Done. I also added error reporting so if something goes wrong, it will tell you what it was. for the future, if you find an error, please screen shot it for me.

I might have a video to put on local soon, so I'll try and see how it works (though I don't know if I'll get errors.)
