Back in 2006 or so when we could still nominate VCA categories, several suggested categories were denied because 'categories must not be based on source'. (That's not exactly what it said, but with the new VCA pages, I can't check, but that was the basic idea.) Yet we have had an Instrumental category for years now, which clearly relies on the music source.
Instrumental is fine as a genre, but why should it be a category in the VCAs? If it's really a judging of who tells a story best without lyrics, as some have suggested, why not just make it a Best Storytelling category?
