Ms. Peachez

Postby Rubystars » Fri Apr 24, 2009 11:19 pm

Would it be against the rules to upload a video made to Ms. Peachez music? I generally don't like rap but that stuff is so silly and funny. I haven't made any videos like that I was curious about it.

Ms. Peachez music videos involve very stereotypical behavior, like the song "Fry dat chicken".

I think it's meant as humour and not with malicious intent but I didn't know if it would be against the rules to post any of that music here.

Are there any restrictions on music? I don't remember ever seeing any.

Sorry about posting the thread in the wrong place. When I go to boards I really try to follow all the guidelines and respect the boards.

I was thinking of trying to eventually make a comedy video with some of Ms Peachez music but I didn't want anyone to get angry or offended by it, since it's all in fun.

I wanted to make sure there were no restrictions on music because some music can be very offensive to some people. For example there are some country style tracks by "Johnny Rebel" that use the N word a lot that I find to be amusing.

Of course, I'm sure there are rap songs all over a-m-v.org that use the N word a lot but I want to make sure that I wasn't going to get banned or warned if I used the "wrong" music.

So far I'm not even planning a video but I was really curious if there were decency guidelnes or rules against racist music or something like that.

Even if there's not right now I was thinking there must be some sort of general rule about this kind of thing because there are a lot of different types of music out there. Some of it would offend me too.

I guess if people are offended by a video, they don't have to keep watching it though.

lol I remember those Ms Peaches videos on the tube.
There are rap songs that use the N word sometimes but its used in a
differen't way than that other artist you mentioned used it.
If there isn't a rule against using Johnny Rebel and similar artists, there should be
because alot if not all of his songs are white power music and are offensive.

Like I said even some music I would find offensive, like some of the rap songs where racist things are said against white people. If it were me being offended by something I'd just avoid those videos though.

Still, i don't belive that kind of music should be allowed because
its just about bashing and saying racist and other offensive stuff about a certain race.
Thats the whole point of that kind of music and there is nothing good about it.
Honestly I can't see why someone would want to use a song
about the denigrating of a certain race.

Sorry for going off the original topic since this thread is really about using a
Ms Peaches song but i just don't think its right for people to be allowed
to upload videos with racist music or racist messages in them.

I understand what you mean. I wouldn't post something to be nasty or hateful, but some music can seem like that but can be done in good fun and as a joke and not meant in a hateful way. I don't plan on using any JR music but I was just using that as an example.

I might use Ms Peachez though because that music is just so funny and silly and obviously intended in a fun way.

I'm going to try to post any videos I use on the tube first to see what kind of reception they get before I upload any more here. That's one reason I'm looking at alternative types of music, because of the WMG thing going on there where you can't really use anything that people are too familiar with.

Yeah, i know what you mean

If you like game remixes, you should check out OCremix.
They have alot of good stuff and you won't have to worry about the
song getting removed on the tube. You probably wouldn't have a
problem with anime and j-pop songs too if you are into those.

Id love to see it if you decided to do a video to one of the Ms Peaches' songs.
I thought of doing one to the fried chicken one but
couldn't think of any anime with fired chicken but
Slayers and Devil Hunter Yohko.
I think it would make a good AMV but would probably require alot of masking like Jaddzia did with her "Something Fishy" video.
