No I can't but... although their actual language and phrasing has changed and they are using less of if you catch my drift as katie said they could be the same person as ch3slina. * shrugs* I don't know, but having seen that thread I thought I'd point it out, some time it's better to give people the benefit of the doubt. And I wouldn't like to see a memeber who has taken over someones profile be (for discussions sake) punished for things they didn't do.

I don't know. Even if it was a different person in the past, that doesn't excuse recent actions and rudeness. And besides, if you look at their org profile, it talks about recent events as well as the past events we were upset about using the same kind of words. And it links to recent posts as well as the past ones that were in their sig at one point. So I still think it was the same person in all instances. Whether or not they're also Chelsealina (sp?) is a different story.

Sorry I should have mentioned the reasons stated for changeing their name was that she had now taken over her cousins account and hence wanted a different name because they are different people.
I just realised how naive of me this sounds hehehe.

Now for 4 cents worth (2+2 =4 )on the Godix op thread is that I noticed several of the people who were, and I'll use the word "duped" here as I can't think of an alternative. Have english as a second language and are not as good at it as, say, people like me (See I speak occa the native language of all aussies and it barely resembles the english language at all! lol sorry), the were ridiculed for poor communication/misunderstandings and I would think that he and others should have taken that into consideration when dealing out all 1 ops or having a go at people. I work with many people with english as a second language and yes sometimes it's hard, but if I ever treated them the way others here have I would have been sacked long ago, remember that little thing called E&D? That is my one beef about all of this; some members need to be more tollerant and it might have prevented the blow up from escalating in the first place (but I do agree that it was inevitable).
I would like to note; This does not excuse flaming by BP27 at all, you can throw the forum rules at others, but then cannot hide behind them as a shield because your 'english' is not so good. *sighs* I'm not saying that this is happening either I thought I'd just say it before some one else does.

I'd like to say thank you to downwithpants this thread is a good idea I just hope it doesn't go 'round in circles. And I think that some valid points have been raised I just hope that more of those who rushed to Godix's defence use this oportunity.

The funny thing is that some people think that Sweetdeily and I are the same person... we are not and I find that insulting. She's my sister (that I disowned at birth) so it's kinda like saying silver moon and dark moon are the same person if you catch my drift (except they probably wouldn't be offended). Quite often she logs on when visiting my house (I've got broadband and she doesn't) so IP addresses wont help I'm affraid. There are however quite a few members who can testify that we are different people (and after manifest there will be several more hehe)

Aw come on, that whole debate should have been settled by now (I mean the whole godix vs. Black Pearl + Ch3gU3vAr4.

I think the fact that one can read (and abuse) forum rules but not read the far more plainly written godix fineprint automatically negates any excuses on that front. Hiding behind English skills is one thing, but this was not a case of that. If it was, it's just fake; anyone can do that. It's not a question of tolerance; I've seen plenty of forum members with limited English skills who are not only tolerated but in fact well-respected. If it's intolerance, then it's intolerance for bad behaviour and frankly I don't see why that should be anything but encouraged (it's a function of a community to chase out those who don't behave by its accepted etiquette - or slap them around enough to learn said etiquette; assuming it doesn't devolve into personal attacks, I actually support the 'running of the noobs' if they behave badly).

Um. . . it talks about the godix ban as well as linking to the threads with the posts we were upset about. I'm pretty sure they've updated recently. (like within the past week.) Take a look for yourself. I agree, I don't think people should have made fun of her for her enlgsih, but at the same time, she shouldn't have yelled at or cursed people out for trying to help her and get the necessary info to properly help her. (because she would have yelled if they didn't give her the right answer to her question). At any rate, godix should be back in a couple days. WEHOO!!!!

As a community i'd say we're fairly considerate of those that speek another language, but you loose the right to use the non-native speaker defense when you write in 13375p33k and use net-shorthand.
