Cd distribution link

Postby ZeWrestler » Thu Oct 31, 2002 9:42 am

Hey,

I’ve noticed that the cd distribution idea by red wolf, is starting to take off, http://homepage.mac.com/red_wolf/Distro/catalog.html I was thinking that it might be a good idea to add a “Cd Distribution” link to indirect and direct, so people know that they will be requesting an AMV cd rather than a link to a site where they can download the video.

Probably a good idea then if you don't haev your videos up for download so I think it would help to include it as an indirect link. However if you do have webspace for your videos then you might instead just want to include that link in you .org profile.

Hey,

Hmmm, I like the idea. I'll see what I can do.

Can someone tell me what this thing is? I looked over the website that was posted, but it doesn't really say anything.

Simply put, the distro center allows people to request AMV CDs by sending in blank CDs, postage stamps, and a note asking for what they want and their return address. It's handy for people who make AMVs and are limited on bandwidth, and for minimal cost and effort (you spend more on postage than blanks and pay nothing for service), people can get copies of your CDs. Many karma points for Red Wolf for running this service.
