Hey,

I would guess that someone is in need of help in explaining the new site rules.

Thank you Phade.

I would actually suggest deleting the Off-Topic forums. That is where most of the problems occur and I would argue that they don't serve any real purpose, at least with the AMV community. If people want to talk about off topic stuff they can take it elsewhere.

IMHO, if there is a topic that is a-m-v.org related that isn't listed, they should suggest it to Phade so that he can add it in.

Hey CArnesen,

The OT forums keep OT threads out of the AMV topic threads, thus keeping them clean (in theory).

Fine then, fine then. Delete my posts Phade, see if I care.
The forums, as I have mentioned before, will never before be as great as they once were. It isn't necessarily your fault, but you sure didn't handle it as well as you could've. But you're the administrator, if I don't like it, I can just leave, huh?

Regardless, I just want to let everyone know that my new avatar, the Aquabutt, was another great thing on the internet that got deleted. It wasn't innappropriate, it was deleted merely because some 5 year olds *might* um....I don't know what 5 year olds could get from it other than a laugh. Well, look for more deleted goodness to come, CUZ IT'S GONNA BE A FUCKING STORM!
This place is such a shit-hole.

Ya know Truest, I know plenty of people who would disagree with you. Let's see... when were the forums great? It's been a while truthfully. And this change, in my opinion, is much for the better. So don't speak as if it is fact or as if you are stating the opinion of everybody. I think Phade handled it damn well, especially considering his current situation (assuming things haven't changed much since marriage). I really don't see what your problem with this is.

So... what are you trying to achieve?

How do you define that? If you mean a place where people can converse about AMVs, Anime, Music, Video Editting, and various other subjects, without having to worry about constant negativity, then I think Phade has put the forums on the right track to getting back to that. If you mean a place where people compete for highest post count and belittle others and their work and opinions, with no regard for the consequences their actions have on other people, then I'm glad they will never be "great" again.

I'f I've said it once, I'll probably say it again, thanks for everything, Phade, and keep up the good work.

flint_the_dwarf wrote:Whether it falls into the category or not isn't the issue here. The issue is that it is unproductive. Alright, so then we have to understand exactly what is productive. Productive, as I see it, is a thread that actually goes somewhere rather than just going in really big circles like those threads do. They serve no purpose other than letting, say, ten or so people talk to each other back and forth.

And, rather than argue about this, why don't you just accept that Phade, and many other people, doesn't want those pointless threads around here?

I don't think the mods are going to directly respond to posts very often, but don't think that they aren't there.

And as for spam, if you are debating whether something you've written is spam or not, don't post it. It's pretty simple. If you are debating, then most likely it's not even worth posting.

right on

it goes down to this

phade owns this site, is administrator
that basically means, stfu if u dont like it, leave,
now i know that, phade being a nicey n all, wouldnt ever say that, and that also, to have ppl leaving, is not the point neway

do we really HAVE to spam and make pointless threads? nah,
yeah, i did it, and look i stopped, it's not the end of the world
you're acting like a bunch of bratty kids
i'd rather be known for making an awesome amv, then for having the most posts

*has more to say, but will end here*
