ohmigod! then the person looking stupid can delete his post. Theres really no argument against no edit/delete button, and it definitely would help the post numbers a bit :?

not to mention if you forget to say something you can edit it in instead of make a new post. This is useful in suggestion or video discussion/help posts

this here being a prime example :/

just saying that people should proof read thier posts isn't a reason to not have an edit button, it's just what you have to do sense we don't have one. And proof reading is still no garanty that you will find a mistake. You wrote it wrong once already, there is a good chance you are going to miss the mistake, epescially if your tired or destracted when posting. With an edit button you can check your mistakes at a latter date and when you are either informed of them, or in a better mind set to see them.

That's no reason not to have an edit button. So what if someone is actting like an idiot and changing there posts to make fun of people. Who cares, ignore them. This isn't knidergarden, get over it.

I have said it once, and I will say it again: honor to EDIT-button! So, my suggestion was: everytime you edit your post, there comes a note about it in the post, one that you CAN'T remove. That way, nobody will seem to be stupid if someone changes his/her post, it would be the other way around: the one, who edited, would seem to be mean. Okeys?

You know there is a way around that note. If you put the color tag in your post at the end of it and set the color to the same as teh board background and never close the tag, it will make the "edited" tag invisible unless highlighted.

Have you tried that? I tried it on my own board, and if I put in an unclosed tag, it just showed as plaintext. ie: [color=cyan]

Actually yes I have and it worked as I said. What board system are you running? It probably depends on teh board. It works perfectly fine on the Ikonoboard system but I guess it doesn't work here.

[color=white]If you can see this in any color but white then appearently it doesn't work here.

See? if it doesn't work here, who cares? We want the goddamn edit-button back.

Okay, this is funny. I can live without having an Edit button in the forum; it really doesn't matter to me. But the funny thing is that all this time I've been misunderstanding jbone's sig. I always interpreted it as a message to lazy, wannabe AMV creators, who would love to have a button labeled "Edit" that would do all the work of making their videos for them. On that note...

There is no Edit button. Get over it.
