WMV problems

Postby ZeWrestler » Tue Apr 29, 2003 2:27 pm

hey,

I for some reason have problems downloading WMV's off the carrot. Everytime I click on one, it opens a subwindow withing my browser and starts trying to stream. But it then generates an error, and I wind up not seeing the video. Is there some way to fix that problem so i can download WMVs to my harddrive.

Computer games don't affect kids. I mean, if Pac Man affected us as kids, we'd all run around in a darkened room, munching pills, and listening to repetitive music~Kristian Wilson, CEO, Nintendo Gaming Corporation

Hey,

Have you tried upgrading/updating your media player? Someone else had a similar problem, but the problem went away when they upgraded to the new media player.

Assuming you're using a Windows-type machine: right click, and click "Save Target/Destination/Something Similar as..." and it should work... My browser (Opera) even after hand-editing the file types wants to display .WMVs as text files...
