Search By and Video Hardware

Postby Declan_Vee » Sun Apr 13, 2003 9:02 am

Hey Phade... and anyone else who reads this,

I was thinking, is there really any need to fix Search By? All of those drop downs were really sluggish last time I remember using them. And Super Search is a lot more useable anyway. I say scrap it!

Also, how about upgrading the Video Hardware forum to General Hardware. Most of us will be using our other not-so-videoish hardware on our systems to go towards new AMVs or realted stuff anyway.
Example: My Burner and Scanner are both giving me the... "No Scanner detected!", "Read error on CD!" X50. etc...

Hey Declan_Vee,

The "search by" sections will be different than the old ones (much faster), but still allow you to easily look at all the videos by all the anime in the catalog.

The "Video Hardware Help" forum is for those kinds of issues. By not having threads deleted, a knowledge base of troubles and fixes is created. People are encouraged to search the forum before posting questions that have already been answered. If people don't do that, it's just as easy to redirect them to the answer thread and then politely say that they should search the forum next time before posting a common question.

Thanks again and have fun!! ^_^
