There are quite a few bands that have stolen music from
the original writers ( i.e. "The Monkeys - I'm a believer"
has been ripped-off by a few bands and they have called
it "their own".
Thus, the question, whose name should be in the Artist's
listing? there is no room for Originator & Copy-Artist!!

Re: Question about re-releases ...
Artists recording or performing their own version of another artist's song has been going on for decades, if not centuries. They're called "covers" and are standard practice in the music industry. The original artists and writers are paid a fraction of the proceeds as royalties for the rights to use the song.
For purposes of our database, the artist listing should be the artist that is performing the version you're using. If you want to note the original artist or the songwriters, you can do it in the video notes.
