There's an introduction thread in general discussion....

You really wanna introduce yourself, announce a vid.

I love people so much. Like. This site has been around for more then a decade, and if you look at the number of members at the bottom... There's a lot. And still people are baffled when we don't have an intro section. They think they are raising an issue that we, up until this point, have simply just missed. THEY ARE THE SAVIORS OF THE FUTURE :O.

How about we unlock the "Welcome to General Discussion" sticky, and rename it:

"Welcome to General Discussion - Introduce Yourself"

Might as well put the sticky to good use :?:

Or just sticky the introduction thread that's already in there?

Which one? :P
Introduce yourself, not that we care who you are

hi!
(plus) Welcome to General Discussion

IMO welcome messages and introductions go hand-in-hand, so it would save space, and look more concise. Plus it would attract needed attention to any real messages we want to make (the currently locked sticky with only one post is just going to collect dust). Also, if we are going to have an introduction thread, it could use a more official title and better opening message than any of the ones above >.>

"Welcome to General Discussion - Introduce Yourself" just seems natural to me, though there might be something better...

The threads could probably be joined somehow, whether the introduction threads are added to the welcome message or vice-versa.

I'd say the one that has the words "Introduce yourself" in it. It also clearly states the general opinion of such threads by anyone willing to give it any thought: "Post here. Nobody's going to read it, but if you want to so bad, there you go."

Introductions are nothing but a plus for a community. You can introduce yourself in general tho, be it in a mass thread or your own. It IS supposed to be the OT forum.
