However for obvious reasons that's an administrative decision (and with the recognition that anything that can't be strictly defined as having a topic can get really difficult to moderate or keep in line with community goals - introduction forums are already uncomfortably close to that. Then again, so are the MEP forums).

I think this is a really good idea, because from my perspective, this site can seem rather insular at times.
