Re: Simplified FTP program for uploading videos to the org...
It worked once, the other time didn't. The second time, admittedly, the filesize was around 80MBs, whereas the first time it was just about 30. Perhaps filesize has to do.
More than the redirect tho, the program freezed after it finished uploading, so that I had to manually close it. By freeze I mean that it didn't unlock the options and it was still as if it was uploading, though it did upload it all and the file was correctly uploaded on the org since I confirmed and checked the upload.

hmm, you were using the newest version 1.0.3? Should get a popup confirming the upload completed and asking if you want to go to the confirmation page. Clicking yes will open the page in your default browser.
Tested it on my newest video and it worked fine (~46mb). I will test it with a larger filesize soon and get back to you.

Yes, I was using version 1.0.3, and in fact it had worked with a smaller file, like stated.

I tested this with a 300+ meg file (grant it, not to the org servers) and on my latest vid and it all seems to work perfectly. I'm recommending this program for all users who can't figure out ftp that want to enter ACEN and Youmacon (and any other con I get dragged into coordinating for)

Actually, I noticed that the login address only works if the host is kero. I think it'd be great to have the program aggregate the fields based on any host given.
Basically this works: ftp://something:somethingelse@Kero.Anim ... ideos.org/
But this doesn't: ftp://something:somethingelse@ngsilver.myvnc.com/

I've been doing some testing unable to reproduce the issue. Did you do the first upload and then do the second directly afterward using the same instance of the program or were these separate processes?mirkosp wrote:It worked once, the other time didn't. I think i might write in some debug logging to help catch these things.

I will fix that, I'm not sure why i didn't implement it to use any ftp connection string.
