I hang in the off-topic forums more than any other section of this forum, which is why I, as a forum goer, have a vested interest in them. The spammers are ruining things, and if it keeps up this way, there WON'T be an off-topic forum, or possibly any forum at all. It'll either devolve into an anarchic spammer's wasteland, permanently, or just be gone.

This is why we need more mods, at least for the off-topic sections, from the general forum populace, and we have to know who they are so that we can say "jbone/temjin/Misty Caldwell/whoever is being an asshole" to Phade, if necessary. If you're going to have some overseers, they may as well be those you know and trust. Having "Chef" post multiple threads with song lyrics just to be an annoying pain is not good(although they're gone).

In finality, I would suppose my point is that we need more off-topic mods to police the off-topic forums, so that Phade doesn't have to, or god forbid, stops completely.

Since you were mentioned as a mod candidate, I figured I'd stick to the topic and mention you in my mod example, along with jbone and temjin. It wasn't an insult, honest

I offered a while back. I'm not overly worried about how people here view me... plus I tend to keep Walki's (a HalfLife: Firearms server) fairly orderly. The only problem isn't abusing power, instead, I tend to be overly strict (especially to racists and sexists).
