Re: Donation Drive Contest
Not really profit... more like making ends meet for the site. so say they get about 150 per drive on average thats only 3600 out of the 30,600 wanted also roll back on how old the HDDs are and chances are minus the server costs after buying (running them) them just break even.guy07 wrote:Damn, i should have waited to donate .... wicked idea though. But hopefully every thing goes according to plan and they get at least 10,000 donated
I will not take part in this as i have no money and nor do i wish to try to take a HDD from them if it could get them money

Re: Donation Drive Contest
The last two times I donated through paypal, it took weeks (and an email asking about it) before it was registered on the org. Is someone going to be on hand process donations quickly?

Hey,
Phade.
Yes, absolutely!! I will even personally check that all donations have been properly recorded before running the "randomly choose a winner" script. Re: Donation Drive Contest
We've made some cosmetic changes to the Donate page for the sake of user friendliness. All policies remain the same. Please let us know if anything breaks.

Re: Donation Drive Contest
Actually there was a problem.
I had made a pledge of $180 distributed for 12 months and it ended up with some bizarre scheduled payments:

Re: Donation Drive Contest
Hey,
Phade.
Those are how they were recorded. Luckily since all recordings were less than a year apart, you had no interruption of service. Now that we have multiple people keeping an eye on donations (instead of just one like in the past), odd things like that shouldn't occur again. Sorry for the confusion.CrazyBS wrote:Actually there was a problem.
