People who use different editing programs... we need you!

Post by AbsoluteDestiny » Thu Apr 29, 2004 10:41 am

I need some help with the new guide.

I'm writing settings information for as many programs as I can get my hands on... however, being a win2k user I can't install the following:

Adobe Premiere Pro
Windows Movie Maker 2

But I need screenshots and basic information on the settings.

Anyone want to lend a hand? You will be credited.

At the moment I'm writing settings info pages for Premiere 5/6, Vegas 4/5 and Ulead MSP7. If there are any other programs that people would like settings help for and there is a trial version that I can play with on win2k then it can be added, you just have to ask. Anything you want to add yourself, go right ahead and I can include it.

Send me a PM or an email. Some messenger software would be useful as I might have to dictate the things I need screen capture of for the guides. Some basic knowledge of how to make screen caps and how to use image software may be required.

Would there be some use in including editing software for different operating systems?

My guide is a windows guide and it reads from start to finish on how to make videos on windows. Other operating systems would have to be covered seperately as every step along the way will be different.

It's hard enough threading the guides to deal with both NTSC and PAL at the same time let alone threading it across multiple operating systems :)

Am quite curious bout it since none of the settings for PAL deinterlacing in previous AMVApp didn't work as well as NTSC ones. No matter which scripting or VirtualDub filtering I'd use from the guides it'd always have a little blending. Very annoying even when you just try to watch the deinterlaced ripp, not to mention editing  . I hope all comes out ok. :)

I'm afraid many many PAL sources have blended fields in order to convert them from NTSC to PAL. This is talked about in the guide but curing it is nearly impossible. There are options but none of them are perfect and few of them will be completely successful.
