i joined after sp was banned (i assume, at least) but here's my .02

its a person, so you shouldn't be handling it as a matter of numbers

how happy are you when you go the bank and instead of saying "hey [phade], what can i do for you today?" they say (very monotone) "Hello. Member number please."

what you really need to look at is give him a little week long test period or something, if he behaves himself in that time extend it...if not then he can't come back

i doubt anything he could do in a week would be bad enough to have anybody quit the .org, especially on the forums..

Phade:
If only half the population chose to vote in an election, we would have to go off that vote. A good percentage of people choose not to vote just for the purpose that they dont want to. You cant say that because only a small few have voted, it shouldnt count or doesnt matter. Also, watch One Flew Over the CooCoos Nest. Watch the TV part. It is the EXACT same deal. Don't be the nurse Ratchet in this situation. Be the cool Indian dude that does the cool stuff (trying to to spoil the movie).
Another rant by me:
Yes, SpPanda has said and done some pretty loud things. Well, you all think they are loud anyways (nothing he ever said bugged me in the least). Though I think it is worth noting that we ALL have said and done done some rather harsh, irrational things lately (SIGNAL TO NOISE, lots of hacking posts and pirating posts lately, FLAME WARS LIKE NONE BEFORE). SpPanda may actually be the sane happiness with the cooky attitude we have been lacking. Everyone is very extreme in attitude around here. It's either ABORT BABIES or I'LL KILL YOU FOR WANTING TO KILL LIFE (not category specific, but you realize the extreme viewpoints). SpPanda is very mild in this sort of way. He doesnt let himself get carried away, and is always able to explain himself. He is like anyone else here (nicer in MOST ways). I can't at all understand why he was banned anymore, especially with how people have been acting lately. I used to tease people here because I thought they were mostly naive fan boys. I now hate more than half of you because you are just a bunch of pissed off little kids. At least people like SpPanda don't go around trying to drag everyone down. He tries to lighten things up. The funniest, the rudest, the SLUTTIEST, the smartest, and even the calmest of us don't even attempt that anymore. He does. I speak to him on AIM time to time, and he is always there to try and put anyone in a good mood. And going down to essentials: HE MAKES AMVs! And pretty good ones (or so I hear, I never had downloaded them. I tend to reject Nu Metal and soft stuff). He could be a very helpful and valuable member if let back in. And I am almost POSITIVE he wouldnt mind being productive. If I could help people, I would, and have even tried several times. I am none too seasoned though. He is. I am going to stop this rant here, but c'mon guys. Give the dude a chance. He has been banned longer than ME and I posted a pic of a Bat with a huge cock and balls and sent Phade pics of a baby takking a liquid shit! You cant possibly think that SpPanda is worse than that.

Azn, please. Let's try to keep this at least semi-serious.

I'd say let Panda back. He seemed to behave himself last time around. I suspect he's a far more humble individual now, less prone to trouble.

95000+ members and yet the most that have EVER been on the forums at once is 139 hmm... I rarely see it go over 25 at once on any given day, and alot are guests and most would never bother to look at the site annoucements page. Hell, I wouldn't have either if I didn't see it was moved from off topic.

You really expect a larger percent of votes from ppl who never even seen the forums, much less are active on them, much less bother to look on the announcement forum, and vote for someone they probably never knew or ever seen a post from since he hasn't been on the forums for months.

Maybe you should just listen to the ones that actually come on the forums and voted here.

If all the VCA's had pie on them, I think pie woulda picked up a few awards if not all of them.

you know phade, the people that want him back out-number the people that want him gone nearly 3 to 1.
So in other words, one part of the community is waging war on another part of the community because they take their community seriously enough to want to do so. Then they tell the powerless side to get over the loss cause it's just an online community. I'm glad people make so much sense." -- Tab

agreed, Jace.
I'm getting a strong vibe that this thread isn't going to impact if he comes back or not since the only person who controls his fate has already made his opinion very clear.

You know what? I should've voted neutral. I know why I continue to hate this forum, the lack of good administration and moderation is certainly the core of this problem. People spam everyday, just because SpPanda's spamming was more popular in such a short amount of time shouldn't make any difference than to half of the active members here that post everyday leading almost every topic off topic. So by letting him back in, or keeping him out, it wouldn't make any difference what so ever. Phade, you brought this mess upon yourself, and I don't really give a shit if you intended to have a good orangized forum or not. You're the admin of the whole freaking animemusicvideos.org website. It is your responsibility to take on challenges, and keep everything in order. This poll, these members, SpPanda, it wouldn't make any difference, the lacking of good administration and moderation will continue till you take a stand.

Cat, I was reffering to a post I made after that, oh well, I posted that one to make the point I made, so use it as you wish.

And Summ, stop being such a 14 year old negative nancey. You're letting your adolecent teenage hormones all go off the wall. This is the bring SpPanda back thread, not the "I hate you Phade you're not my real father!!!!one1" thread :?

The simple fact that Phade is here with a poll shows what a signifcant impression he has made on the people here. Of all phade's banning victims this is the first I have seen with a poll asking if he should come back. It's also clear that Panda was also being watched like a hawk whever he was on. And not only that but the mod's ALSO were seriously intimidated by his argument's.
Evidence of both of these things can be seen here in this thread
here.

And then there is the little fact that phade's explanation for the second banning was basless and unjustifiable given the facts presented.

you phade, need to do some serious thinking.

Phade wrote:Hey,

Pie is neutral, just a fun version of neutral. I voted pie...

Phade.

Actions speak louder than words. If you were neutral to his presence here then why did you AIM chat with him four hours over his first banning, and he still has yet to be unbanned? Would you have started a thread asking other people for their opinon on his presence? You claim indiference, but your ACTIONS speak otherwise. If you truly didn't care, I don't see why you have gone to the lengths you have because of him.

SpPanda was banned for being an out-of-control troublemaker. When he was allowed to return, he immediately started making trouble again, thus he was rebanned. Since he obviously did not learn anything from the previous banning, this ban length will be longer. If, when he returns again, he starts making trouble again, he will be banned for an even longer period of time.

Firstly you lead the public to believe that he is not being perma-banned and that you would allow his return at a later time. We discover months later than Panda had to create a new account because his older one is still banned. This has certainly been the longest temporary banning I have ever seen. And tell me, are these the words of someone who is neutral about the issue of SpPanda's presence on the boards?

I hope that these actions simply represent your past opinion of him and that things have in fact changed since then. But the way he was treated by you and the mod's only lead me to believe that you didn't have a problem with SpPanda the forum member, but Daniel Araujo, human being. I cannot see you going this far over simple spamming and asking for ROM's.

Whatever he did to get to them the way he did I don't know. But phade/the mods action's toward him show exactly how intimidated they were by him and how seriously they took his presence on the boards.

Now lets cut the crap, the people that want Panda back SIGNIFICANTLY outnumber the people that want him gone and I see no signs of the numbers changing to indicate otherwise. It's been made clear that people would be happier with him here.
