Actually, NPR and PBS ask for money less often then Phade's org. Especially since "this site is currently having a pledge drive to make these dreams come true" for at LEAST a year now. Mr. Rogers and Thomas The Tank Engine didn't beg NEARLY as much as Phade does.

Never.

That Donut (and the donation system) is what makes this a community, it gives everyone a chance to stake a claim in it, to contibute whether they're good editors or just fans of amvs. Maybe it's just money, but it's about the only way to show support for the place - at least that way no one can say you don't care if the community lives or dies.

But that's probably going off-topic.

I intend to make sure that every new video I upload to the org is just under 100mb so they cost phade as much bandwidth and money as possible.

Well, I suppose you could ask Phade whether the amount coming in from donations from people signing up is enough to support everything.

But if he takes down the donation requests, I'm betting there won't be enough. If he makes if completely free to download--I know there won't be enough.

And even if there is enough after taking down the donation requests, well, I was under the impression that he was trying to expand the site and that's what all the donations requests were for.

I mean, this is all assuming Phade doesn't have some magical money fairy lying around.
