Working Open Source programs?

Post by t_mccoleman » Tue Oct 03, 2006 7:31 pm

Does anybody know of any good, open source video editting programs out there? I have seen a few but they have all crashed on me, so I'm not entirely sure.

Did you try the ones listed in the F/OSS list sticky at the top of this board?

I have been using Cinelerra, Blender, Inkscape, Gimp, and Cinepaint, and a bunch of other utilities for a few years now. (You can find links to those programs in the list on this board.)

For the first four programs I listed, I keep a local copy of that project's CVS or Subversion repository, update it about twice a week, and use the resulting builds, and the builds end up being quite stable.

What programs have you tried, and on what platform? The latter can make quite a difference.
