Old movie effect?

Postby ANBU_Itaichi1986 » Fri Sep 29, 2006 7:17 pm

How would I go about making the effect of an old silent movie or a film that's showing its age? Ive seen it done before, the screen gets a yellowish/brownish tint, and there's lines that distort the picture and such. Is it done on After Effects or Premiere?

Pretty much every video editing program has such a filter. Even Windows Movie Maker does. Whatever program you're using, just go to the "effects" menu, or some derivative thereof, and look around. 95% of the time it'll be there.

I don't have Premiere so I don't know. In Vegas it's called "Film Effects", so I imagine it would be something similar. Someone more versed in Premiere can answer this better than I.
