codecs, codecs.... which one????

Postby newbornankh » Tue Sep 26, 2006 9:48 pm

I'm havign trouble picking the right codec to use on a video so I can import it into vegas.

I tried huffyuv but the file gets way too big!
I tried lagarith but the footage lags.

so can anyone recomend a codec taht i should be using?
somthing that won't make the file so big like huffyuv perhaps?

you could take small clips in VirtualDub(Mod) and encode those with huffyuv or lagarith.
the total filesize isn't too big (~340 clips ~6GB with huffy, less with lagarith)

there are a few other methods in EADFAG right above editing 23.976 footage in premiere
