AVISynth and Premiere Pro 2.0

Postby Beowulf » Tue Sep 26, 2006 8:26 pm

Basically, my Premiere Pro is VERY unstable using the AMV app. My comp specs are as follows:

Athlon 64 X2 3800+
2 gigs of ram
tons of HD space.

My premiere 6.5 is ROCK solid using the same method. But my Premiere Pro 2.0 randomly crashes, crashes when I run low on memory instead of refreshing itself, and crashes when I try to configure certain codecs for export. I'm crashing every 5 minutes. Its completely unacceptable.

What the hell is going on. This is NOT a computer issue, as stated previously, my other software is rock solid and I defrag and clean my computer frequently. Is there a new version of the premiere plugin thats more stable? Is there a user patch I'm not aware of?

I'm edting AVS files at 24fps. I'm NOT deinterlacing on the fly, as my projects are already deinterlaced, so the editing speed is very fast.

Help.

Did you get the newest version of the plugin here?

Other than that, um... lowering the SetMemoryMax settings in the plugin's GUI, perhaps?
