Premiere slow clip deinterlace

Postby Ashton » Sat Dec 07, 2002 9:44 pm

I know this has probably already been asked, but is there a way to perminently turn off the premiere feature that deinterlaces clips set below 100% speed?

I've checked the txt files and the PRM files in text and I didn't find a way to do it.

It's hard-coded into the program because premiere is generally intended for people editing for tv using clips they've captured themselves, in which case your source would be full frame interlaced and you'd want to deinterlace it whenever it slowed down otherwise it'll make you sick if you watched it on a television. We tend to work for progressive displays though so it sucks for us. Just remember to click it I guess ^_^

If you import large clips into Premiere, like say a entire DVD using AVISynth, or even single episodes. Uncheck it on the large clip, before you start to make clips out of it. All the subsequent clips will have the options unchecked ^_^. It's helpful, but it would be nice if you could just turn it off.
