Audio problem,is Virtual Dub Mod the answer?

Postby Kobe101 » Sat Sep 16, 2006 8:30 pm

Hey I have a problem with my anime. When I use Virtual Dub Mod to encode it with Dvix codec for easy sony vegas importing something happened. It tried to builds 2 audio tracks because I can either view the eposide in english or japanese. Well I get en error and the peaks can be built.

So I am wondering if I can encode just the eposide and the ENGLIGH audio using Virtual Dub Mod?

i think you would have to save it with the .mkv or .ogm extension instead of .avi

Yes. Just disable the audio stream you don't want.

In VDubMod 1.5.10.x, you do this by going to the Streams List (in the Streams menu).

Don't use DivX for editing. HuffYUV or Lagarith are the codecs to work with.

Try it. But don't come here to complain that Vegas permanently crashes. DivX/XviD are designed for distribution, not for editing. To understand why it isn't a good idea to edit with these Codecs you should read EADFAG, especially the section about compression.
