.....But what software is good for beginners? I can't seem to get Windows Movie Maker to cooperate with me, seeing as I can only get .flv files (I can't rip off a DVD, seeing as I have no DVDs of the anime I need). And tips on, persay, converters or video managing programs?

Buy a DVD, then. It's really simple. :D

And if you're broke, get a job and buy the DVDs

i agree. if your dedicated enough to the project, you should be utterly obsessed with the quality, and refuse to use anything less

Pretty much.

And I'm too young to get a job. I really want good quality but... *shrugs* I don't get an allowance either. And Dad is way too lazy to get off his butt and buy the DVDs.

Too young? Come now. I see ten year olds mowing lawns for money ALL the time (as I did at that age). Spend a Saturday cutting grass. You'll survive, I promise.

Too young to get a job eh? Well, until I could get jobs, everyday when my mom gave me lunch money, I'd just keep it instead of buying a lunch and secretly bring goodies with me x3

And believe it or not, picking up every piece of loose change that you see works okay too.

Also, you should talk to your parents about an allowance. Or maybe instate a curse jar, then get them really pissed off everyday x3

When I was a kid, I had to work for my dad at his garage, I had to sweep the dirt floor until there was no more dust. I didn't get paid either. He was a harsh man, took a bagfull of hammers and beat up on my sock puppet when he though I was turning into a fruit.
We didn't have computers back then, we could go to the movies with $2 that we'd collect by finding bottles in the field and going to the store to get the nickel. We didn't need computers back then, Y2K was a looong ways away.

What was my point again???

Buy the DVDs, borrow the DVDs, rent the DVDs, steal the DVDs, etcetera. Good software for beginners? Studio9. It's Movie Maker with a tutorial and they charge you money for it. In other words, stick to Movie Maker then buy Sony Vegas or Adobe Premiere when you have the money.

Whatever you do, DON'T rip files from You Tube. Even RealMedia is better than that.
And God spoke unto the Chicken, and He said: "Thou shalt crosseth the road", and the Chicken did cross the road, and there was much rejoicing.

Stop it with your fruity memories. Your sock puppet should have been beat more.

My parents aren't that great, trust me. Whenever I find enough money to buy something, I hide it, but my parents find it anyway and say that colledge is more important than anime. my mom is the type that says 'Family members should do work for each other because they're family...' blah, blah, blah. So I won't get any money out of her. Dad's oblivious to the world, my grandma treats me like trash, the other one speaks only in spanish, both my grandfathers dies from drinking... the list goes on.
The area I live in isn't so keen on people either. It's like living in a deserted suburb. Kinda creepy. I'm homeschooled, so I don't get lunch money. No friends, 'cause that originally was the reason for my homeschooling. Got beat up by a fat kid and was backstabbed by my best friend.
Heh, I tried stealing a DVD once.... dang mall security. Since I was I kid, I got off with a warning. Not trying that again.

It sounds like I'm making this up, don't it? It ain't fake, trust me. I'd work my butt off for three weeks to get my hands on a Full Metal Alchemist DVD. *shrugs*

Your stories don't matter... you're going to continue to get the same answer because this is a public forum and to keep up apperences we have to have the outward apperence of the types of ethics those in the business of cracking down on illegal downloading and such find to be of their liking.
