dvs question

Postby dowhatnow » Mon Aug 21, 2006 4:52 pm

When I go to make a project in DGIndex, do I have to go through the whole video in order to have it show up in VirtualDub later?

I'm still a bit confused on this, so any and all help is appreciated.

You can save the project without previewing it, if that's what you mean. What problem are you getting with VirtualDub?

I had started a project and it only captured about a third of what I needed (the whole thing) when I opened it in VD. So, I started it and left it for the duration and am now saving it as a .dsv file. Hopefully that fixes it.

Does it work the same way if you do it before it's previewed?

Thanks again.

Make sure you load all the VOBs you need in DGIndex (VTS_01_1.VOB, VTS_01_2.VOB, VTS_01_3.VOB, etc.). If you had file splitting enabled in your DVD ripping software or are using FAT32 then the VOBs will be in 1GB chunks. So for a long movie (longer than 30 minutes) or an entire DVD, you will have multiple VOBs that need to be loaded.
