Lines Across My Video After Rendering In Vegas

Postby soulcalibur1234567890 » Mon Aug 21, 2006 2:23 pm

Okay I need some help with vegas 6 and virtual dub.

Every time I render my video in vegas as any type of video compression or as uncompressed there are lines across the video. I don't know if its got to do with avi synth or not but I need some help. It doesn't really interfere with the video itself, like slowing it down, but it takes away from the quality of the video.

Anyone got some thoughts on this?

^_^ I believe I can actually help with this one! =3
Sounds like it's interlaced. I have the exact same problem ^^
First render it in Vegas with a lossless codec (like Huffyuv or Lagarith) then when you compress in Vdub, go to filters, and add "deinterlace."

Simple as pie. Try it and see if it works ^_^

If your source is non-interlaced (progressive), then you can change your Project Properties Field Order to None (progessive scan). If it is interlaced and you didn't deinterlace it with AviSynth or VirtualDub/Mod before importing it, then now is the time to do it. It is generally better to do de-interlacing before importing especially if you do speed changes to the video.

You also want to check the settings when you Render your project that it is outputting Progressive Scan also.
Having trouble playing back videos? I recommend: Image

I personally, have gone into Vegas with non-interlaced footage, played with all the settings that should keep it from becomming interlaced and still it comes out interlaced. -____- (But then again, I continue to find problems with my...specific...copy of Vegas)...

GAH! Why did I just go on a rant about my own problems?!?! 0.o
