hello! two basic beginner's questions...

Postby Somnambulist » Thu Aug 17, 2006 12:41 pm

1. is there an editing software that's considered the best for AMVs?

2. i have Premiere pro, and i'd like to know if there is a way to import high quality files such as OGM and MKV. and if not, what to do in order to import such files without losing quality? is there another program i can use?

thanks in advance for anyone who answers!

1) No. Or maybe yes, but the answer varies greatly depending on who you ask. Either way, look at this thread.

2) Those are just file formats. That has nothing to do with quality. Furthermore, from your question, you are obviously trying to use fansubs or other downloaded anime. Stop right there, and read this to learn how to use high quality video source.

2.) Get VirtualDubMod. Open MKV/OGM with VirtualDubMod. Disable all audio/subtitle streams. Save as AVI. Open AVI in editor.
