Editing

Postby Potto » Thu Aug 17, 2006 10:39 am

Hi! i'm new to the forums, and i'm starting of with a little question :P

Since my machine has a slow processor all my clips i record with FRAPS get real sluggish.. :( therefor i wonder if there is anyway to make the anime videos editable right away in, for example Vegas?

When i try that now it says something about wrong codec, i'v heard that the videos are encoded in some "non editable" codec?

Would be great if someone could help me out!

Thanks in advance! and Hello once again!

Read it. All of it. Multiple times, if need be. It will eventually make sense, provided you pay attention. "I'm a newb" changes nothing. Hint: start at the beginning, and when you get to the end, stop.

You might also want to try this thread.

I can't se how a guide in how to make a good AMV in Vegas can help me get media files working in any movie-editing program

You mentioned Vegas, so I did too. There are probably technical details somewhere in that thread, if you bother to look.

All i can get out of the thread is to use the damn Vdub (wich i have tried out several times now)
program to re-encode my movie. But all i get is errors when i'm trying to open the video file.

Wow.

VirtualDubMod is god. Don't defy its power.

Open up your "media files" in VirtualDubMod. Save them as AVI, compressed with HuffYUV. Vegas can read that format, I know it for a fact.

Dude, first of all, start your own thread.

Not to rain on your parade, but there are lots of guides that people have spent HOURS AND HOURS on just for newbs like you...check those out before posting. I'll even give ya a link: The Really Helpful AMV Guides.
