Rainbow Removal script problems

Postby Trilaan » Tue Aug 08, 2006 7:31 pm

Every de-rainbowing script I add to my video script kills VirtualDubMod when I try to open it with the program. Does anyone have a suggestion? It might be a simple thing I'm overlooking so if somoene could tell me exactly how I should input the scripts (which folder to place them in, for example) so I can see where I'm going wrong. Thanks.

I'm working on a Trigun video and the original DVD releases is all I have so I gotta get those rainbows down.

Double check your spelling and syntax. I've misspelled a single filter name in a script that would bring down VDM when trying to open it. At the very least, add the de-rainbowing filter with the default parameters first, then modify/add on to it.

If you could, please post your script.

Why just the derainbowing scripts? Do you have this problem with any other filters?

Nope, once I remove the de-rainbowing reference from the AVS script it works fine.

Well, I don't seem to even have the SDDeRainbow filter in my AMVapp so maybe I'll download it again to start. Failing that, here's the AVS script I'm using to test a portion of my video that suffers from rainbowing

LoadPlugin("C:\Program Files\AviSynth 2.5\TomsMoComp_Avisynth\Debug\TomsMoComp.dll")
LoadPlugin("C:\Program Files\AviSynth 2.5\plugins\Deen.dll")
AVISource("C:\rainbow test.avi")
ConvertToYV12(interlaced=true)
TomsMoComp(1,5,1)
Crop(8,0,-8,-0)
deen("a3d",4)
mftoon()
mfrainbow()

Whether or not mfrainbow itself is the problem or something else in the script is causing a conflict, I dunno.
