DGIndex Question

Postby shiro_clanclan » Sun Aug 06, 2006 3:44 am

All right, this has been bugging me for a little bit. I tend to spend large amounts of time on AMVs (that stupid "life" thing gets in the way of progress!), so I usually just let source files sit on my hard drive until the next time I'm ready to devote some time to them.

The problem is when I go to make new clips using scripts to access the DVDs I use. I'll come back, try to run the script, and it'll pop up an error about the d2v being out of date or corrupt. So I'll make a new d2v and it'll be fine. Then leave. Then same problem.

Is there a reason why d2v files expire? And if there isn't a good reason... is there any way to disable this function? That would help greatly in the time-saving department.

Thanks, all.

As long as you haven't updated DGMPGDec (DGIndex/DGDecode) your .d2v files should still work. I've been able to use .d2v files from many, many months ago without problems since I haven't changed DGMPGDec versions in quite a while. I'm still at 1.2.1 while the latest is 1.4.8.
