Adware in AMVapp?

umm so ya i dled and installed the latest version 2.1
my anti virus program detected something..

It's lying to you. VirtualDubMod is nothing of the sort.

yeah I wouldn't delete it when I get that message.. though I have had technical problems with folders that Vdubmod is in before.. same thing with Huffyuv even on the other two computers I use. But not much of a bother. I just make sure vdubmod isn't on my desktop and make sure it's in its own folder, same thing goes with my huffyuv files. Lucky i don't need huffyuv any more because i started using legarith but i still need to use vdubmod. I wonder why it causes issues.. same with huffyuv. I've tried fixing these issues by getting other versions of them but generally they don't work oh well. :wink:

if avast does keep bringing that up, u could just uninstall the AMVapp version and get the VirtualDubMod zip pack. exactly like AMVapp's except u dont have to install, just go to the VirtualDubMod.exe and there is no "Open via Avisynth"

yeah and you could get the latest version this way. the amvamp version is ooollld

It's in the regular Open video file dialog. Cuts down on the common 'I opened the script with Open via AviSynth and now it's not working' errors that way.
