Is there any way to import avi files into Sony Vegas?

yes.. it might be difficult to do for certain codecs. If you are using xvid/divx there are sometimes steps to get it to work. Download a program called gspot and use it to identify what type of codec you are using. If you are using divx or xvid it is recommended that you use a program like virtualdub/virtualdubmod to convert it to a lossless codec like huffyuv or legarith.

because because because because because because because because AVIs are sometimes easier when you're messing with VirtualDub to make clips.

If you encode to a Huffyuv AVI, Vegas'll open it up without a problem. That's how my friend Mikhal does it.

If go to the " search feature " located between FAQ and MEMBERLIST and under the big ass ANIMEMUSICVIDEOS.ORG site title and put in " VirtualDub " and search under the forum Video Software Help you'll get:

you could always google for the program. first matches you get are links with downloads for the free program.
