My video isn't coorperating

Postby black5kitty » Mon Jul 24, 2006 12:38 am

I'm making an amv based on TRC. All of the clips are downloaded and the amv is still in progress. However, lately I've been experiencing difficulty. When I play it, the music is playing but however the clips are not playing along with it. When it does, it'll stop on some part and the music will keep going but the clip is paused. What's wrong and please tell me how I can fix this please tell me I've worked on this for weeks.

1) What is TRC?

2) What program are using to edit with?

3) What are the file types you are trying to use?

TRC is Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles

I'm using Windows Movie Maker

I'm using avi files

Everything worked the first few times but the clips aren't now coorperating

avi is a container. What codec? Assuming it's XviD (most likely case), clip and transcode in VDubMod in a lossless format. Try looking around for the 1000+ other threads this answer has been given to for more details.

And this shouldn't be in hardware help.

I could be a hardware problem. How much Ram does computer have? I found that wmm chokes if you don't have plenty of ram, 1gig or more might help. I also found that mpeg2 files don't work well. Divx or mpeg1 or wmv seem to work best. Wmm just isn't a good editor for fhis kind of work. I would suggest getting one of the other video editors. I tried Pinnacle studio 9 and it worked much better than wmm. Mine came with my video card, but best buy has it for 69.99 plus there is a $20 rebate.
