Anyway, I've ripped my Kino's Journey bought in US DVDs. Looked pretty bad, interlaced all to hell and whatnot. (if you've ripped Kino's Journey and have a copy of your avs sript I'd be most appreciative if you'd let me peek at it.

(This isn't my final script yet (I think), it's just what I've gotten so far...I'm still trying to tweak it...and add and delet stuff)
See after deinterlacing it I got these lines, like almost not noticable unless there's a big block of color, really thin lines that don't move throughout the whole screen.
So I smoothed it out, (ALOT) lines are gone....but then what used to be the lines turned into my footage being all grainy! So I turned the smoothing down a little and got the lines again...
Sharpening didn't really help. I've read the guides, searched and read about avisynth, but GOD there's just so much! I think it might help me not feel so overwhelmed if someone were to point me in the right direction...please? Help?
