Ripping/Decrypting DVDs

Postby TheVoices » Thu Jul 20, 2006 4:10 pm

So I bought the DVDs I want to use in my AMV and know I need to decrypt them. Check. I've been digging around google searching 'dvd decrypter' for a day or two and none of the downloads I'm getting work. ): Does anyone know a way to get around this? Thanks.

Yeah, I read that ( went to dvddecrypter.com, got ended up at.... uh. google. ) but I don't have a dvd decrypter. I get empty downloads from everywhere. I read the other thread about DVD decrypter and didn't get much anywhere...

Oh, and I'm running on Mac OSX, if that makes any sort of difference.

If you can't find DVDDecrypter, another option is DVDShrink. It's not as good--AFAIK you can't do chapter specific ripping, and it'll take a bit more trial-and-error to figure out just which VOB you're looking for as a result, but it does work.

Yes. Quite a big difference in fact. Refer to the posts above this one for what you need.
