Transition Progress is disabled in Vegas when you try to use basic fade types but works with all Transition effects and makes it so it's very customizable when it comes to Opacity... but I want to have the same options with basic fades and I don't know how to set it up to work that way.. so with regular fades "Transition Progress" is disabled but I need something like that to work with basic fades. See in the screenshots I can add points for dissolve.. I want to be able to do that with regular fades. What should I do about that..
OK I learned a trick. Select the transition "Cross Effect" select the option "Cross Zoom A/B Slow" then in the "Video Event FX" options(the options for the Cross Effect option) there is an option in there that lets you change the effect(check the screenshots).. the effect is by default set to "Zoom".. there are other options such as "Pixelate", "Blure" and "None" if you set it to "None" then the transition will become just like the basic fade options but now you can add points witch make it much more customizable than what the regular fade option had.. so this has solved my problem.. now all is well.
