Are there any good programs to put screencaps side by side?

Postby x_rex30 » Mon Jul 10, 2006 11:52 am

I want to be able to take screenshots from anime and have them pasted next to each other without having to move them around in photoshop. I doubt theirs a program like this.. but hoping there is. Also is there a way to put video next to each other easily in editing programs like Vegas or premiere? Not as important as my first question because I need something like that so I could provide screenshots of anime easier for people.

One possibility... Load an AviSynth script into VirtualDub[Mod] and Ctrl-1 to place a frame in the clipboard. Change ImageSource to AviSource (or whatever) for video.

StackHorizontal(ImageSource("foo.bmp"),ImageSource("bar.bmp"))

Thanks a bunch dokidoki! That works awesome! Wish there was a way to have images both stacked vertical and horizontal at the same time though.. maybe there is a way that I haven't figured out. oh and I think you meant shift 1.. I tried ctrl1 and didn't do anything.. but after looking at doom9 I found someone mentioning shift 1 and it seemed to work. ^__^

Shift-1 saves to a file, it seems. I usually press Ctrl-1, then paste into a paint program. :)

Code: Select all
StackVertical( \
StackHorizontal(ImageSource("foo.bmp"),ImageSource("bar.bmp")), \
StackHorizontal(ImageSource("foo1.bmp"),ImageSource("bar1.bmp")))

I'm not sure this will help you out, but have you tried playing with the image size and canvas size settings? There are lots of special tricks in PS, the real trick is finding them all and then remembering what they're called.
