windows media player & AMVapp

Postby Harley Quinn » Mon Jun 26, 2006 8:26 pm

for some reason after I installed the amvapp from absolute destiny's guide I was unable to play mpegs on windows media player any longer. Can anyone help me out with this? I'd appreciate it.

AMVapp messes around with your current (updated) codecs. You should selectively install only the needed ultilities and leave the codecs alone.

also, since you would most likely have lost the current codecs, go download:

GeneshaSeal - Dead Seals for Free
Orgasm - It's a Science

You don't have to reinstall any codecs, especially I wouldn't install any codec-packs. Simply deinstall FFDShow from the AMVApp and all will work fine again.

I didn't lose any codecs that I know of because after I uninstalled amvapp I could play mpegs fine. But if I reinstall AMVapp don't I need FFDShow if I want to make AMVs? I will try to do a selective reinstall, this is all new to me so it is kind of hard for me to know exactly what to leave in and leave out. Any suggestions? Thanx for the feedback so far?

I did what you said, I reinstalled the AMVapp and selectively reinstalled what I needed on FFDShow and now I have no problems with mpeg playback any longer. Thanx I really appreciated the help!
