Help a newbie out? I'm having trouble with Adobe Premiere.

Postby Elhaym » Sat Nov 23, 2002 5:36 pm

I'm totally clueless as to how I can edit clips. Yes, I tried the help feature, but I couldn't find out anything I needed to know. Maybe I'm just a clueless newbie... Anyway, can I have some help? Thank you in advance! ^_^

PS: How do you take the sound out of clips?

The way to edit clips:
1. Import your clips into Adobe Premiere.
2. Use Premiere's large assortment of tools to edit your clips any way you like.

Next time maybe try asking a more specific question.

To remove sound:
1. Download Virtualdub (www.virtualdub.org)
2. Open the video in Virtualdub.
3. Set video to direct stream copy.
4. Set audio to no audio.
5. Save AVI.

I guess I should have been more specific!

I want to cut parts out of a large clip and separate it into smaller clips, so I can move them to different places and such.

After you place your clip on the timeline, select the razor tool, then clip on the clip where you would like to cut it. The razor tool is the one thats, oddly enough, got a pic of a razor blade on it. After cutting it, you can select the move tool (or selection tool, whatever its called, i think it has a pic of an arrow cursor on it) to drag them around wherever.

Elhaym sounds like possibly a girl, judging by the girly avatar and the sig. Probably is why "she" didn't get chewed out. Of course I have the hot and sexy misato as a avatar and I am a guy . So w000 knows.

made a incomplete guide, I like to pimp.
