And if you ever get into AE, you can do some neato splitscreen effects.
You can have a splitscreen in which the vertical line dividing the two video segments is ANY SHAPE YOU WANT, you can feather the line, you can animate the line...just about anything you can want to do.
If you're ever really bored, use the splitscreen effect to "clone" yourself if you have a digital video camera....that's fun....set it up on a tripod and film both segments separately, do splitscreen, and you've got a clone.
