Vegas crashes and whole pc, too. Help needed!

Post by mico- » Sun Dec 11, 2005 3:28 pm

Hey
I'm using Vegas now for a longer time, and it's getting worse.
During the editing, especially when i try to synch, and have to play a part over and over again, my whole pc crashes, mostly when im pressing pause or stop.
The Problem is that my whole pc is crashing at that time. Sometimes the screen is getting black > reboot, but also there are situations when windows just freezes.
I tried almost everything, changed ram, mainboard, formatted etc.

Please if anyone has a solution i would like to hear it. I've heard that there isn't a perfect videoeditingprog, but it's getting annoying that I always have to reboot my comp.
Can post system if needed.
thx :I

The problem is that you dont read and since you wont click on the link and read i'll spell it out for you.

Premiere can't recode each frame your trying to edit from a lossy codec and apply effects and, and, and, and, so it crashes.

Your sorce has to be converted to a lossless codec (where each fame is a keyframe) and then it wont crash.

Go under the guides section of this site and read Absolute Destiny and Ermac's guide to all things video if you dont understand it.

I'd put down a link but aparently you dont know how to use them.
Cheers vir eers

you could also use the bait and switch method if file size is your prob.
