How to import MP2 audio into a divx video?

Postby The Zero Saber » Sun Nov 03, 2002 11:39 pm

Yes you heard me, MP2, not MP3. I wanna take the MP2 from my old mpeg videos, clear them up in some avisynth filters, and then inject the MP2 audio back into them without having to recompress the audio. I know nandub can import MP3 into videos, but it doesnt seem to work for MP2. It just makes the audio in the final product silent. So how do I do this?

"clear them up in some avisynth filters"
I was refering to clearing up the VIDEO from the old mpeg's, but that isn't relevant to my question anyways, lol.

Umm, I don't think you can. As far as I know there is no Audio Codec Manager (ACM) for MPEG1 Layer 2 data which is required to encapsulate an audio format into an AVI file.

Well if you're exporting the video back to MPEG, you might be able to demux the file, mess with the video and then remux it. I really don't know how you would go about doing this though I'm sure the guides do.

If you're exporting to AVI you're probably out of luck for the reasons ErMac mentioned.
