Screen Capture Problem

Postby Angel_Killer_777 » Tue Oct 29, 2002 3:31 am

I can't get Snagit 6, or any other capture prog that I've tried, to take a good screen image of a DVD in Windows Media player 8, or any other player that I've tried. I keep getting a window with a black space where the image from the DVD should be. I've turned off video acceleration, but it hasn't helped.
Any help on how to fix this or seggestions for a capture program that will work will be very much apriciated.

Get PowerDVD ^_^ I had the same problem. PowerDVD seems to be the only thing that'll take screencaps correctly. Of course, you could rip the DVD, convert it to AVI, and get the screencaps with VirtualDub :P

PowerDVD allows you to get screencaps while it plays a DVD.

You could take the vobs into VirtualDub w/ a AVS script, or export a small AVI file from DVD2AVI then taking that to virtualDub. Those are probably the most accurate methods.
