another problem (yes I'm hopeless)

I had the other problem and I fixed it by turning the mpeg2s into mpeg1s so I wouldn't lose what I already did on the timeline and it suceeded and it works splendid, but there is one problem that I had when was using mpeg2 and still with mpeg1 when I am working on my AMVs. I used to be able to use the texturize transition without having to put it on the end of each clip. I was able to use it freely where it wouldn't tell me that I can only put it on the end or the begining of the clip. I would put the transition in the clip(VideoA) I wanted and have it cover the whole clip(videoA) and it would change its size while I put another clip(videoB) that i wanted to have playing in unison with the the clip(videoA). Its hard to explain bu tnow it wouldn't let me do it anymore. Thank you for your time.

I don't have my editing computer in front of me to confirm this, but I think what you would be wanting to do would be to apply a filter to the clip, not a transition. In newer versions of Premiere, there should be a little window (in the default view) that contains the filters- they're listed by category- sorry the only example I remember at the moment is 'Video' since that's where 'crop' is. I believe that 'texturize' should be under one of those categories (again, I wish I had Premiere in front of me), and you should just need to drag it onto the clip you want to apply it to. The 'resize' or 'zoom' should also be under the filters list to do what you're looking to do with the two different tracks.

I couldn't find the texturize under the same place Roll, crop, resize was. WHen I was working on former AMVs I was able to use Texturize from the transitions folder but like I said before it don't seem to work now without only being put on the end or begining of the clip. Could it be because that I have Adobe Premeire 6.0 and not 6.1 or something. THanks for the help anyway.

Hmmm. I'm afraid I can't really do much more until I can actually look at Premiere myself (which will be tonight after work). I believe I'm using the same version of Premiere, but I've never tried texturizing or the likes. I would think it would be in the same window are crop and resize, but under a different primary heading. I know from my past work that I've never really succeeded in getting a transition to hold for the entire course of a clip without changing.
