Postby stormychef » Mon Jul 08, 2002 8:06 am

:?: previously using MovieXone Plus. Now I have Premiere and was curious for tips: I have before I was only using smartripper and FlaskMPEG. And that was so easy. Just rip, encode and do the rest with movieXone. but I got rid a shitty virus and it stuffed my HDD, yada yada yada... The prob is I now got premiere and virtualDub. The ? is? After you rip it then what? what software is best to change DVD to avi. so I can use virtual dub and premiere...

I personally use GordianKnot for ripping & conv. It comes with DVD2AVI. It works pretty good and I have yet encounter any problems. Alternatively you can make AVIsynth script by using notepad and then just import into Premiere, but you need a fast comp b/c avs render can be very slow.

look for guides in the member main page and doom9.org

The best thing to do is <A HREF=http://www.animemusicvideos.org/legacy/ErMaC/default.htm>REFG</A>.

You don't need to change the VOBs into AVIs to edit them in Premiere.

I need it for virtualDub though... It's the easiest way to cut down the footage to useable pieces.

No, you don't need to convert them to AVIs to open them in VirtualDub, either. Just read the guide.
