Effect Tutorials for Premiere 6.0?

Postby -Cye- » Fri Sep 27, 2002 1:16 am

Are there any good tutorials on the different effects for premiere 6.0? I'm a total newbie to music vids and would like to learn how to do some different effects with opacity, and flashing individual frames and things like that as well as different transitions. I've been messing around with premiere, but whenever i try to do something like put in a transition or speed up a clip or anything there is an X in a white box in the corner of that part and for transitions nothing happens.

Have you tried hitting ENTER like the MANUAL says to do?

I had the same problem in Premeire. I use 6.0 though. You have to go up to the menu and go under timline. Then you go down to render work area. That will make all the transitions and other effects show up. One word of warning. Rendering can take a long time.

It's not a problem, it's a actual feature. Rendering takes along time. You don't want it doing it every single time. The manual clearly states how to 'preview' your work. The only problem is stupidity and lack of ability to read and understand a manual.

Yeah it does take a long time. :\

Sorry but it was just easier to make a quick post here than read the manual, all you needed to say was "hit enter". :) I don't blame you though, it was a dumb question.
